School Council

At Lark Hill, all pupils are actively involved in the democratic process through the School Council. Council members are elected by their peers within each class, with elections taking place at the beginning of each academic year. Each year group from Year 2 to Year 5 elects two representatives. In Year 6, the Head Boy, Deputy Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl are also members of the School Council; these positions are elected by pupils, with specific roles assigned by staff.

The School Council meets regularly to discuss a wide range of ideas and projects that are important to the school community. Members share pupils’ ideas and concerns and provide regular feedback to pupils, teachers and senior leaders. The Council helps to drive initiatives across the school, including fundraising activities and promoting healthy lifestyles, such as running the Healthy Tuck Shop annually. They also support and lead a range of other initiatives throughout the year.
